Who Knew You Could Be A Missionary At School!

James and I volunteer at HOPAC (Haven of Peace Academy) the vision is not just to minister to missionary, local and international students, but to reach into the community as well. This is why each week HOPAC trains and equips students at all grade levels to serve by going and doing.

The above video is a short clip of the students I (Deanna) taught in Term 1. I shared Biblical principals of giving and living our lives "Recklessly" for the Lord!  They "taught" students at local schools, basic English as a Second Language several days out of the month. The additional classroom time was used to train and  prepare lessons.

In March of this year the entire school will participate in what we call SEW week. We will be involved in community projects all over the city as well as on the school campus.

Please pray for hearts within the community to be opened to more than just having students work on their projects during the weeks leading up to SEW week. Thank you!!!

JeNi the 3rd student from the right, played the role of Titiana in HOPAC's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

It's a blessing for James and I to watch our children grow and develop. After Homeschooling for 20 years...yes, 20...It is such a joy to have the blessing of Christian schooling right here on the mission field! Thankful for the founders who had a vision to provide quality Christian education for MK's"(Missionary Kids).

Thank you for taking time to read our blog update. I really need to post more often! Pray that I do!

We give thanks on every remembrance of each of you!
